Frequently asked
Key questions
Is PrepaidChina a bank or card issuer?
No. PrepaidChina is the proposed customer UX, brand and distribution layer. It is not a bank, card issuer, FX provider, money transmitter, remittance provider or regulated financial institution.
Who performs verification and financial checks?
Licensed partners would control identity checks, KYC/AML, source-of-funds, tax and salary evidence, eligibility, funding, FX, remittance, safeguarding and card issuing as the chosen structure requires.
Does the concept avoid Chinese FX controls?
No. Only lawful salary income and approved funding that meet the licensed partner’s requirements are contemplated.
Is there already a SkyRemit / Skyee partnership?
No. This is a partnership proposition only. It does not imply an existing partnership, endorsement, integration or product approval.
